POSITION SUMMARY
ACC Midwest is in search for a Superintendent within the Littleton, CO & surrounding areas. T
he Carpenter is responsible for performing tasks involving physical labor on construction projects.  This resource will be proficient in operating hand and power tools of all types. They will have proven general construction experience and the ability to thoroughly understand and follow directions provided by the Project Superintendent. They should also have the ability to read basic design documents, specifications and be familiar with Building Code requirements associated with the assigned installations. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Supervises assigned project work and liaises between engineering, estimating, and workforce.
  • Plans work methods, materials, equipment needs, and work schedule for assigned project work.
  • Reviews daily work schedule with direct reports and updates weekly schedule from project feedback.
  • Forecasts the work schedule.
  • Provides input to identify and resolve project risks.
  • Documents daily activities and meeting notes.
  • Performs additional assignments per management’s direction.
  • Coordinates with internal equipment team and external vendors to ensure that project work is equipped with appropriate equipment and material.
  • Coordinates with internal and external departments to ensure all mandated inspections are completed within requested time frames.
  • Supports and promotes strict adherence to safety and process controls regarding operating equipment, worksite safety and documentation requirements.
  • Supervises sub-contractor production and workforce regarding assigned project work.
  • Maintains knowledge of Company values and strategic plan.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills

  • The ability to read and evaluate plan documents and regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills. 
  • Knowledge of construction safety practices.
  • Ability to perform advance planning and scheduling of job tasks.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Exceptional supervisory and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift items weighing 30 pounds and navigate unstable soil while performing daily job tasks.


Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.


Position Requirements

  • 2 + years of experience Superintendent or Foreman within the construction industry required.  
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Valid driver's license with a driving history in compliance with ACC's driver criteria.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. now and in the future.


Training

  • Safety and compliance as job requires.
